ENTERTAINMENT FOR EVERYONE
The art lessons within this unit of study were designed to meet the criteria for effective art education as defined by the National Standards For Arts Education. The Arts Standards were developed by the Consortium of National Arts Education Associations under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. This art study unit was designed, tested and proven in the classroom environment to be an effective art education learning tool.
Intended for use by art teachers, classroom teachers and home schooling parents this program also serves as a stand-alone home enrichment activity. "Working with Vincent" is especially beneficial for those children who do not have access to a fully integrated art curriculum that includes art history and appreciation.
Each learning module introduces a specific art activity followed by a classroom workshop. A variety of materials are introduced including pencil, marker, tempera paint, water color paint, pen and ink, oil crayon, crayon, collage materials and construction paper. Students are encouraged to work from observation of still life, posed models, mirrors and photographs.
This specially enhanced DVD is a complete art education package containing demonstrations, workshops, slide shows and printable lesson plans. To access and print lesson plans a PC with a DVD drive and printer is required.
